    Educator effectiveness is a K school system education policy initiative that measures the quality of an educator performance in terms of improving student learning. It describes a variety of methods, such as observations, student assessments, student work samples and examples of teacher work, that education leaders use to determine the effectiveness of a K educator. House Bill (HB) 22 (85th Texas Legislature, Regular Session, ) establishes local accountability systems (LAS) to allow districts and charter schools to develop plans to locally evaluate their campuses. Once a plan receives approval from the agency, districts and charter schools may use locally developed domains.
